Host Terms & Conditions.
1. Service Overview:
E-Commute connects car owners with verified, fixed-route passengers for consistent weekday carpooling. No daily hassle of finding riders — just long-term, recurring travel with reliable passengers on your daily route.
2. Earnings & Commission:
Hosts typically earn between Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 15,000 per passenger per month, based on route distance and car type.
You may accommodate up to 4 passengers, depending on your car’s capacity. E-Commute charges a 15% service commission, deducted before your weekly / Monthly payout.
No registration or onboarding fee is charged to become a host. Weekly / Monthly earnings are transferred directly to your bank account.
3. Ride Schedule:
E-Commute operates Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Hosts are expected to follow the agreed schedule consistently to maintain reliability for assigned passengers.
4. Punctuality & No-Shows:
Hosts must be punctual and inform E-Commute and passengers in advance of any delay or unavailability. If you’re unable to drive on a given day, notify us at least 12 hours in advance. Early notification allows E-Commute to arrange backup rides for passengers and maintain service quality.
Uninformed no-shows affect your reliability standing and may result in fewer ride assignments or temporary suspension. Frequent and timely communication improves your standing and can make you eligible for new assignments and incentives.
5. Wait Time Policy:
Hosts are required to wait a maximum of 3 minutes at each pickup location. After that, you may proceed to avoid delays for other passengers.
6. Emergency Ride Support:
In case of last-minute emergencies or no-shows, E-Commute may arrange alternative transport for your passengers (subject to availability). This support ensures continued trust and satisfaction for all riders.
7. Vehicle Standards:
Your vehicle must be clean, well-maintained, and insured. Safety, comfort, and hygiene are essential parts of the E-Commute experience.
8. Passenger Interaction
Maintain polite, respectful, and professional communication with passengers. For any concerns or conflicts, report directly to E-Commute Support.
9. Demo Ride Policy:
The first ride for a new passenger is offered as a free demo ride to let them experience the service. This ride is 50% funded by E-Commute, and 50% borne by the host. Your share is included in your weekly payout, and you are not left uncompensated.
10. Security & Data Privacy:
Your personal contact information is shared only with assigned passengers. E-Commute respects your privacy and does not share or sell any personal data.
11. Compliance:
By joining E-Commute, you agree to follow these terms to ensure a reliable, respectful, and safe carpooling experience for all.
